Italy: July 2008

My mom has always wanted to go to Italy so we took a guided tour all around the country. During our 13 day stay we visited Rome, Pisa, Florence, Lugano (Switzerland), Lake Maggiore, Milan, Verona, Assisi, Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii. Since we were on a tour the food was not as spectacular as we were expecting. However, the few meals we had wandering around cities on our own were very tasty!

France: June 2007

The best food I have had while traveling is definitely found in France. We enjoyed colorful salads, fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and delicate desserts. My dad was in the Air Force and was stationed several times in Southern France and always wanted to bring us there. Our trip therefore included a few weeks in southern France and a weeklong getaway in Paris!

New York City: September 2012

Things we did: Sunset skyline cruise, Times Square, Little Italy, Chinatown, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, St. Patricks Cathedral, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, 9/11 Memorial, Lion King on Broadway, Chelsea Market, High Line Park, Meat Packing District, American Museum of Natural History, Grimaldi's, Bronx Zoo, Haru Sushi, Wicked on Broadway, Yankees Game, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Letterman Show.

San Francisco

One of the best parts about living in Northern California is being so close to San Francisco. Needless to say we visit often.

South Africa: June-July 2013

This summer I traveled to South Africa for a study abroad program through my college. We stayed at the University of Cape Town, a hostel in Obervatory, overnight at a township, and then at a game reserve near Krugar park.
